Disappointing breakfast for a good hotel: Einstein Bistro @ Hotel Einstein (21. February 2017)
When you stay at the Hotel Einstein, you get to have your breakfast (CHF 25.00) in the “Einstein Bistro” which is right next to it. And while there is everything you’d want ranging from fresh fruit …
… to a nice selection of various breads …
… milk …
… various cold cuts …
… cheeses …
… as well as bacon and eggs …
… and cereals …
… as well as some fresh juices …
… and a bread selection of jams and spreads …
… basically really everything you could want. However, it is somewhat disappointing in terms of atmosphere. It is more like a big meeting room where you get to have your breakfast. I mean, it’s functional, for sure, but it is not what I would expect from a good hotel like the Einstein.
Additionally, the service is not very attentive – besides making sure that you are a guest of the hotel, there is not much value added. When I sat down and was asked what I wanted to drink, I was told to get my green tea from the counter. Sure, can do. But why do you ask me then in the first place? That is really not what I’d expect!
