Great breakfast for a Swiss hotel: Restaurant Belvédère @ Steigenberger Grandhotel Belvédère Davos (12. March 2017)

| April 30, 2017 | 0 Comments

I am quite used to a rip-off for breakfast when staying in a Swiss hotel – but this time, I was really positively surprised as the breakfast accounts for only CHF 27.00. Way less than I had expected and the selection of dishes is actually quite good starting with a variety of different fruit and breads …

… as well as freshly pressed juices …

… a variety of different cereals …

… an omelet station …

… pastries …

… yogurts and fruit salad …

… as well as cold cuts and cheeses. The selection is definitely decent and you basically get everything you need and want for breakfast including bacon, sausages, and eggs. What I really don’t get about any Swiss hotel restaurant I have been at so far – each time I’m asked what I want to drink. And each time when my answer is “green tea”, I get a “it’s at the buffet”. Then why the hell do you ask??? I mean, either leave it and say “what coffee do you want?” or get the damn tea!

Besides that, the restaurant is actually quite fine with regards to the quality of the dishes as well as the selection – and the atmosphere is definitely not the one of a regular breakfast restaurant in a Swiss hotel but it is actually quite outstanding and you feel comfortable right away. So, if you stay at the Steigenberger, I can recommend you to have breakfast here.
