Sushi bargain – good and cheap: Restaurant Yaomi (12. March 2017)
Planning to end up in a completely different restaurant in Frankfurt, I walked into the Yaomi because the place right next to it was completely full when I approached it. And it was a good decision – I went for a “ginger tea with fresh lemon, 0,3l” (EUR 3.20) to drink.
A selection of “edamame (green soy beans)” (EUR 3.00) was my choice as a starter – regular but fine.
The “Sashimi Supreme (2x shake sashimi, 2x maguro sashimi, 1x ebi sashimi, 1x hokki gal sashimi, 1x ika sashimi, 1x goma wakame)” (EUR 19.90) was a good choice for a light and quick dinner. Now, given I am not really the sushi and sashimi expert, I don’t know what the one at the top left corner is but let me tell you, it is very ‘special’ in taste and not really to my gusto. Definitely a “no thank” you for next time but the rest was quite delicious.
The waitresses were very swift and absolutely friendly while attending – and even when I ordered the bill which is usually the part they do not manage to solve in time, it worked perfectly. For me, the Yaomi can definitely be paid a visit – good food for fair prices. You just have to make sure to eat at least for EUR 20.00 if you want to pay by card.
