Outstanding happy hour bar for a lazy Saturday afternoon: Bootleggers Bar (18. March 2017)
Given the food market right next to this bar closed down at 6pm and we needed a place to stay before dinner, Google Maps said that the bootleggers bar was close and had a good rating. And Google was correct about both. It was obviously close and was good – also with regards to the rather good bargain of two drinks for 100 DKK.
The atmosphere of the place is nice as well as it is basically all the old furniture found somewhere put together, light dimmed, to make it like in your grandparents living room 20 years ago. And it works! You do feel welcome, comfortable – just as it should be.
Personally, I went for the “Dat Fred Millah (Vodka / Passion)” which was actually really good – refreshing, intense, strong. The only ‘issue’ was that you have to find someone to share the drink with, i.e. someone who would take the other drink of the two for the bargain price of 100 DKK as splitting 7 by 2 doesn’t work that well.
Overall, the bootleggers bar is a great place to enjoy a good drink in a relaxed atmosphere for a really good price. And the Italian guy who was attending us did a good job and was friendly, even offered me to use the outlet if I needed to charge my phone! I can definitely recommend the bootleggers bar for a couple of drinks for a very fair price!
