Lovely atmosphere but weak service: Bar @ Cour des Loges (25. March 2017)
Given the ‘Restaurant Les Loges’ only opens at 7:30pm sharp and we were a couple of minutes early, I ended up in the Bar at the Hotel Cour des Loges. As I am a huge ‘Mule’ fan, I went for the “London Mule (Gin Bombay Sapphire, Lemon, Ginger Beer)” (EUR 14.00). The drink is simple yet delicious.
And the olives and nuts (three different tastes: macha, curry, and regular nuts) are a good combination with the drink and the macha nuts were definitely something I haven’t tried before.
The place is nice, atmospheric, has a certain ‘history’ to it given the age of the ‘age’ of the place. However, as good as the hotel generally is and the service will be afterwards, I was not entirely pleased with the service in the bar. The waiter is not very attentive and you have to wait quite a bit until you’re attended. Overall, however, the place is recommended to enjoy a drink before dinner.
