Newly renovated executive Lounge: Westin Executive Club @ The Westin Grand Munich (31. March 2017)

| June 2, 2017 | 0 Comments

The last two times I was at the Westin Grand in Munich the Executive Club was either being renovated or I arrived too late or had to get up too early to visit the Executive Club. However, this day I managed to have breakfast there. The selection is obviously not comparable at all to what you get in the ZEN restaurant for breakfast but it is decent, i.e. you get almost everything you need (just less selection) like salmon, cold cuts, cheese, cereals …

… as well as hot dishes like bacon, sausages, eggs, and mushrooms. And there is a machine which allows you to have coffee and tea as well as some freshly pressed juices. So, all in all, it is decent – nothing fancy or spectacular, obviously, but sufficient for breakfast.

The view you have onto Munich from the 23rd floor is quite nice though – especially when it is a sunny morning as it was today. The lounge is not attended anymore as it used to be but there is still someone showing up from time to time to empty the full tables and clean a bit. Not the same concept of ‘guest relations’ anymore but the lounge still is decent, and actually, since it has been renovated is definitely way prettier than it used to be. So, if you are staying at the Westin Grand in Munich either on the Club level or you have SPG Platinum status, the Executive Club is definitely worth visiting.
