Can I bring you something? Get it yourself! @ Restaurant Olivé @ Radisson Blu St. Gallen (10. May 2017)
The breakfast selection at the Restaurant Olivé hasn’t changed much since I have been here last time for “breakfast” (CHF 27.00). But that is absolutely fine as the breakfast selection is very decent ranging from fresh fruit to various types of drinks and milk as well as yogurts …
… a nice selection of cheese, spreads, salmon, veggies …
.. as well as cold cuts, bacon, eggs, and sausages.
Not to mention that there is a variety of different breads and cereals as well as whole fresh fruit. So, you get everything you need for a full breakfast – well, almost. There is a nice selection of various teas but – and I will never understand that – when the waitress asked me what I wanted to drink and I said tea, I was pointed to the tea station. I mean, if you ask me, why can’t you get me the tea then? Else, just don’t ask! Frankly, I don’t get it … (and no, that’s not the first time that something like that happens in a Swiss restaurant for breakfast). In every other country, or at least the 40+ I’ve been to, it’s possible. Only in Switzerland – it isn’t.
However, as this is definitely of minor importance, I can safely say that the breakfast selection at the Restaurant Olivé is nice and – if you consider the CHF 27.00 you pay for it – rather generous.
