Tasty street food which turns out to be a chain: What’s Run Street Stall @ Tamsui (30. May 2017)
Tamsui is a former fishermen’s town where the Spaniards had built a fort a couple of centuries back – today though it is a relaxation place for locals and tourists so you find a lot of food stalls – given the metro ride takes a solid 30 minutes from the main station, we were obviously hungry. The What’s Run Street Stall offered right what we wanted – I mean, actually we didn’t want anything but the guy gave us some fried fish on a stick. And it tasted delicious so we ordered a box of “fried cuttlefish with mustard and chili powder and some greens” (150 NTD).
The cuttlefish itself was already delicious but what was truly outstanding was the greens which were also in that box. I have no clue what it was – but I definitely know it was amazing!
So, if you are in Tamsui, definitely pay a visit to the What’s Run Street Stall!
While I thought it was kind of a unique place, I only figured later that only a few streets down there was another one of these – so I assume they are part of a chain but I wasn’t really able to figure that out. Definitely worth paying a visit though!
