Amazingly large and tasty shaved ice cream: Ice Monster (31. May 2017)

| August 27, 2017 | 0 Comments

After ‘enjoying’ stinky tofu, a large portion of shaved ice cream is the perfect thing to change your palate. Ice Monster is apparently quite famous for their ice cream although I was not able to imagine why so. But, once you’re there and you see the portions, you will easily understand why. I went for the “Fresh Pineapple Sensation” (220 NTD) which was huge! I mean, the ice cream is lovely but it is a very large portion – therefore, I’d recommend you to share it with someone. We had three portions for three people and you really are full after that. What is absolutely amazing though is the fresh fruit they put in each combination so you would not only eat the relatively unhealthy ice cream but enrich it with some fruit (not sure if healthier as they’re rather sweet – still).

The place itself is not that big but it is crowded at all times – as soon as a table empties, it will be cleaned and filled up again by the next customer. Impressive how high the turnover is considering that there is actually not a line of people waiting for a table but it really just kind of happens naturally that there are always customers.

When you’re in Taipei you should definitely try the Ice Monster if you are into ice cream – they have a variety of lovely flavours and you just have to see the size of these things!
