As great for lunch as for dinner: Restaurant Neubad (27. June 2017)
A couple of months back, I tried the Restaurant Neubad in the evening and was absolutely positively surprised. And luckily, this time for lunch, it was a similar experience. I decided to go for the lunch menu (CHF 24.50) starting with “curry soup” which was having a nice but not too intense curry taste.
The “Swiss perch fish stripes with salad and home-made dressing served with tartare sauce” were good. For a lunch menu, and especially its price, the portion was rather large and the fish strips themselves were also quite large so you would have quite some fish and not so much fried batter.
When you get to sit outside, it is absolutely lovely – slightly hidden in the shadow, protected from the sun, you get to watch the people passing by and there are quite a few during lunch time. The waitress, which seems to run the place, is dedicated and committed making sure you will be attended properly and with decent care. The younger ones still are a bit shaky but trying hard and doing good. Overall, I can definitely recommend you to have lunch at the Restaurant Neubad – just make sure to book a table in advance.
