Italian lunch offering with not really attentive service: Restaurant MASI Wine Bar (4. July 2017)
The lunch menu at the Restaurant MASI definitely belongs to those in Zurich where you get a good meal for a decent price. For only CHF 26.00 you get a “zucchini soup” which was a bit too watery for my personal gusto.
The main course, “risotto with Campofiorin and Asiago cheese” had a good consistency – still a tiny but grainy but still creamy and rich in flavour. You wouldn’t taste too much of the Asagio cheese though as it was applied rather sparsely.
This day we were sitting outside which is somewhat nice but given you’re quite close to the road, it is not entirely ideal as it is quite busy and noisy. The waitress was friendly and did a good job at first – but throughout the lunch, as more and more people came, she lost focus and we had to wait quite a lot for a second bottle of water and the bill. However, if you are hungry and want to enjoy a quick lunch which is fair in price, the MASI is definitely a good address.
