Amazing veal spare ribs for lunch: Restaurant Accademia del Gusto (17. July 2017)
The Restaurant Accademia del Gusto remains a good choice for lunch – today it was a “cold carrot soup” which was served as a starter and as simple as it sounds as sophisticated was the combination of flavours while being absolutely refreshing.
The true highlight of the lunch though were the “grilled veal spare ribs with roasted potatoes” (CHF 32.00). There was a lot of meat on the bones (something you don’t always get in restaurants), the meat came easily off the bone, and it basically dissolved in your mouth without you doing much about it. Truly delicious!
The atmosphere is as lovely as always – comfortable, caring, spacious, ensuring privacy – really the way it is supposed to be. And the service is caring, attentive, and friendly at all times. Nothing to complain here. While the ‘lunch menu’ price is absolutely decent, the price for a “double espresso” (CHF 8.00) or 0,5l San Pellegrino (CHF 7.00) are quite high for my personal gusto.
Last but not least, the friandises are always a welcome ending to a great meal. And the friandises are more than just that as you also get a “cream with crumbles” next to the classical chocolates. Absolutely worth visiting any time – just make sure to book a table in advance, especially if the weather isn’t optimal so you can’t sit outside.
