Delicious matjes with beetroot: Eat As Matjes As You Can @ Gladmat (21. July 2017)
While the name of the food stall is a bit funny, saying “Eat As Matjes As You Can”, the “matjes” (30 NOK) they are selling there are actually delicious. Of course, the fish itself is as good as any but the combination with the beet root and the whipped cream really makes it quite exceptional and not as sour as the matjes I’ve had previously in the Netherlands.
So, if you’re into fish, you should definitely try the matjes here – good flavour with the little hint of extra.
And they are also rather fair price-wise.
