Great service and very good dishes: Restaurant MASI Wine Bar (25. July 2017)
In the past, I’ve mostly paid the MASI Wine Bar a visit for lunch. Today, it was time to do so in the evening and I went for a “beef tartare – classically prepared” (CHF 45.00). Frankly, for its size and its taste I consider it overpriced. The tartare wasn’t bad at all but it was definitely not among the best I’ve had but it was decent.
The “Formaggio Misto (Asiago, Gorgonzola, Parmesan)” (CHF 16.00) on the other hand which was quite a narrow selection was all the better. Despite only offering three different types of cheese, the flavour and taste of the cheeses were great. So, the perfect ending to a good evening with a bottle of “Masi, Costasera, 2012” (CHF 79.00) and some overpriced San Pellegrino (1l, CHF 10.50).
The bar area – where dinner took place – is quite lovely overall and the waitress did a very good job – she was caring, attentive, and passionate about her job (or at least gave away the impression that she was). Really the way you would want your dinner to be served. Big plus there!
