Simple yet delicious: Fish booth @ Fish market Kauppatori (30. July 2017)

| November 2, 2017 | 0 Comments

When you are in Helsinki, you will – with absolute certainty – pass the main market right next to the harbour and you will – depending on the day – also encounter a variety of different little food booths. Out of the sheer need to eat something, I ended up entering the first one where you basically get to pick your ‘individual plate’ based on what you point at. I went for fried little fishes with some cocktail like sauce and they were absolutely amazing. I mean, not like the ‘foodgasm’ amazing but truly delicious.

As you can see, the booth itself is rather standard and definitely nothing too amazing but the service is friendly, you can pay by card, and the food is good and fair in price (the plate above cost about EUR 8.00).

So, when you feel like eating something after having spent the whole day walking, the food market in the harbour is the perfect place to go to.
