A rather average club lounge: Sheraton Club Lounge @ Sheraton Grand Esplanade Berlin (19. August 2017)
When it comes to SPG club lounges, the quality and the variety of the food offered is quite different depending on where you are. The Sheraton Club Lounge at the Sheraton Grand Esplanade is one of the more disappointing ones as the breakfast selection is really rather limited. It ranges from some cold cuts and pieces of cheese to fresh cut fruit and some yogurt.
A tiny selection of breakfast cereals and exactly one type of bread …
… complemented by some egg dishes.
And while you get a variety of different drinks including some types of tea and coffee, you still somehow feel like you’re being ripped off as quite some things cost additionally (like an omelet for example).
However, the lounge is new and you feel comfortable there right away as the redesign and reopening really were executed well – lovely interior design with a variety of comfortable seating options. And frankly, the Sheraton Esplanade really manages to always provide me with an amazing room – this time the park suite! Since their direct competitor, The Westin Grand, doesn’t manage to do similar, I have decided to only stay at the Sheraton from now on.
All in all, the Sheraton Club Lounge is fine considering its free. However, definitely not the best lounge in the Starwood network.
