Lovely wedding dinner: Restaurant La Banca @ Hotel de Rome (19. August 2017)

| November 23, 2017 | 0 Comments

The ball room of the Hotel de Rome is spacious and has incredibly high ceilings – which makes it quite amazing as a dinner location. The menu was served in the context of a wedding and started with “gazpacho. baked prawn. basil tomato mayonnaise”. The soup was refreshing but a bit thicker than how I know gazpacho.

Next in line was “risotto. chicken. peas. brown butter”. The risotto with the peas was great and also had an amazing consistency given it was still a bit grainy. The chicken was full of flavour – probably due to the brown butter.

The “beef filet. braised leek. radish. potato puree” was a sound main course. The meat was perfectly medium rare and the meat was tender and rich with its sauce.

The dessert buffet offered the perfect selection after the savoury meal – basically offering something for any gusto and taste.

Overall, the Restaurant La Banca at the Hotel de Rome is definitely a place I can recommend to dine. The food was good and considering the number of people which had to get the menu at the same time, it was really quite amazing.
