Decent lunch offering in central Zurich: Restaurant Du Théâtre (22. August 2017)
I can’t recall when I’ve been to the Du Théâtre the last time but I do have a positive connotation with the place. Today it was time for a regular lunch menu (CHF 24.00) which was the “daily soup” which was kind of an Asian soup (not sure how it was called) which was intense in taste but a bit too watery for my personal gusto.
The very traditional Swiss dish “Hörnli Ghackets” (which is basically a type of pasta served with minced meat and apple mousse) was a decent portion and good in taste.
The service was attentive and friendly – making sure we would get our food within no time. Additionally, they were flexible in terms of offering us a table as we hadn’t booked a specific one in advance. While the menu price is more than fair, I consider CHF 7.50 for 0,5l of sparkling water quite a rip-off. Else, just make sure you book your table in advance and you will enjoy your lunch.
