Decent bar by the beach with weird rules: Nautoscopio (9. September 2017)
While wandering around in Palermo, we ended up by the beach at some point and there is something like a little club right next to the sea shore where you can sit outside, in the sand, and enjoy your drink there. I went for a “mojito” (EUR 6.00) which was decent in terms of how much booze was in there but not so great in terms of flavour / taste. However, I guess you can’t expect much more for EUR 6.00. With regards to other drinks, I can highly recommend you to make sure to pay one Euro more so you would get the ‘good gin’.
The place itself is nice in terms of decoration and also quite alive in the evening – however, there is one thing which I consider a bit confusing: There are quite a few large tables which are free and when you are trying to sit down, you are being told everything is reserved. And then noone shows up for like two hours. I mean, okay, wow, you are super exclusive and stuff but really?
Overall, the Nautoscopio is a decent place for a couple of drinks in the evening at the sea shore – definitely worth paying a visit when you are in Palermo.
