Exquisite lunch offering with passionate service: Ristorante d’Aurora – Onkel Tom’s Hütte (28. September 2017)
The “insalata di pomodori piccadilly e avocado” (CHF 16.50) looked a bit too healthy, a bit too tiny to me. At least at first. But it turned out that the dish was not only absolutely mouth-watering but also a decent portion. The combination of the very aromatic tomatoes combined with the avocado really made for a great dish.
The daily menu was “veal saltimbocca with risotto and zucchini” – and while it is definitely a simple dish, it turned out to be absolutely outstanding. The meat was aromatic and the risotto went perfectly with it – being still al dente. Just how you would perfect risotto want to be.
The place is rather small compared to the number of tables and chairs which are in there but you still feel comfortable. However, it is not the perfect place for a private conversation as everyone can basically listen to your conversations. The friendliness of the service is quite exquisite – passionate, attentive, and very friendly overall. Overall, I can still absolutely recommend you to pay the Ristorante d’Aurora – Onkel Tom’s Hütte a visit. Just make sure to book your table in advance!
