Lovely delicacy shop with a restaurant part: Restaurant La Bottega Gastronomica (8. October 2017)
The “tomato soup with mozzarella Nodino and basil oil” (95 CZK) was quite thick and intense but the mozzarella balls didn’t really add anything to the experience as the mozzarella was not really melting but was rather plastic like balls in the soup.
The croutons which were served separately really added to the experience though. Definitely made it a better dish.
The “Agnolotti ‘Carbonara’ with white onion, cream, guanciale” (295 CZK) were quite surprising. The stuffing was basically liquid onion cream which was not only intense but also rather unexpected. The guanciale which is kind of like bacon was giving the dish the extra salty flavour it was lacking. Overall, a truly great main course.
The place itself is nice as it is a delicacy store which also has a couple of tables where you can eat. The waitress was friendly and forthcoming being quite attentive overall. Price-wise, it is quite fine which is also true for the beverages, e.g. “double espresso” for 75 CZK, “fresh ginger tea” for 65 CZK, and 0,75l Mattoni mineral water for 75 CZK The only thing I would not approve of is the fact that they charge you for “bread on the table” 25 CZK. However, all in all, I can recommend the La Bottega Gastronomica.
