Amazing Argentinian sausage sandwiches: Restaurant Chori (17. October 2017)

| February 5, 2018 | 0 Comments

The food joint Chori has recently been awarded for re-inventing the traditional Argentinian sausage sandwich so it was definitely time to give it a try. I went for the “El Regional de Cordero (cebolla roja, yogurt, pepino, hierbabuena, batata)” (110 ARS) accompanied by a “Ensalada de Papa” (50 ARS). The sandwich was absolutely delicious – intense in taste, juicy, just perfect! In combination with the sauces they offered, it made for a perfect lunch snack. The potato salad on the other hand wasn’t that great.

The place is basically a grill which is also the counter where you place your order …

… and get a ticket, respectively they take down your name and then you’re jelled out once your food is ready.

The sausages they use can be watched as they hang to dry out a bit in the window of the counter.

The decoration of the place is generally nice – it is strongly related to what they serve and you will find yourself in a very yellow place.

Overall, the Chori isn’t a place to stay for long as atmospherically it isn’t that comfortable that you would want to spend too much time here but the dishes are great, the prices are absolutely fair, and it is an experience of its own – so definitely a should visit when in Buenos Aires. The only thing which was a bit annoying was the fact that they were not able to pour beer – waiting for a solid 20 minutes until they finally fixed it and were able to pour beer.
