Luscious and extensive lunch buffet: Restaurant Flavours on Two @ Rotana Hotel (2. November 2017)

| March 9, 2018 | 0 Comments

While in my work vicinity there is really not much when it comes to eating but luckily there is the Rotana hotel which offers a great lunch buffet (9.5 BHD) on the second floor in “Flavours on Two”. The quality of the food is really good and the selection is more than decent ranging from a variety of Indian dishes …

… over a salad buffet with pretty much everything you could potentially want …

… some starters on the fish side like salmon as well as cold cuts …

… not withstanding the live cooking station which ensures that there is always fresh meat and pasta …

… as well as a variety of stew dishes served with rice.

Luckily, the live chef ensures that you have always warm and freshly grilled meats for your selection.

In order to make sure you have some nibbles before the actual main courses they also have some dough pastries stuffed with meat.

And a huge selection of local cuisine salads …

… and the must haves like tabouleh or hummus (luckily, I’d say, as I’m a big fan of this food).

If you are still hungry after having dug in sufficiently, there is always a dessert buffet ranging from a variety of cakes …

… to some small pastries …

… and even more of those …

… and even more …

… and if that wouldn’t already be enough, you can always have something from the chocolate fountain.

Or some old-fashioned cheese. All in all, there is more than enough for you to chose from so you won’t walk out of there starving.

While you might think that should be enough, it really isn’t as there is also a seafood area with amazing tuna slices …

… and some sushi to get you going.

Just in case you haven’t had enough yet, you can always have some squid rings or scampi.

Why bread to all this food, you wonder? Well, simply, because the Arabic bread which is perfect for the hummus, is also there. So, definitely something you have to know to enjoy your hummus.

While all of this is quite heavy and not really on the too healthy side (except the salad buffet), there is luckily a buffet of cooked vegetables which is quite nice.

All in all, the buffet selection is really great – you find a bit of everything you could potentially want or need. And the quality of the food is very good. The service is friendly (although the only thing they do is fill up your water) and efficient in what they do. And the place is actually decent in terms of decoration – so, all in all, definitely a place I can recommend you.
