Lovely shisha place: Asia de Cuba @ Galeria 21 (4. November 2017)

The Galeria 21 has been recommended to me for shisha already in the first few days after I had arrived to Bahrain. And within a week I was able to try it. And I must admit that it is definitely a place you should visit. On the first floor, there are two areas – one to sit inside and one to sit outside. And sitting outside really is a great idea. As the place is super comfortable, they are serving alcohol while serving shisha which makes it pretty much a perfect location.

I went for the “Fresh Apple Shisha with Mint Tobacco Basis” (9.5 BHD) which was lovely in terms of intensity and allowed you to smoke for three hours in a row. Only that the next day, as my body is not used to tobacco, I wasn’t feeling all too well. The “Moscow Mule” (4.50 BHD) is sporty in terms of price but decent to be enjoyed. Not exactly the best I’ve had but okay. The service is friendly and attentive – what I don’t get though is this ‘clear separation of roles”. I asked the ‘coal guy’ to please make sure he’d bring me another Moscow Mule. Take away was – he called the ‘server guy’ to take up the order. Why can’t you just tell him?

Anyway, the place is nice, the shisha is good (but a bit pricey) and the drink is decent. So, if you are up for shisha and drinks, the Asia de Cuba is definitely a good place to do so!
