Not really Italian food but super tasty: Restaurant Fatto (30. November 2017)
As a little greeting from the kitchen you get “focaccia with olive spread” which is nice – however, the focaccia lacks crispiness from my point of view.
As a starter, we went for the “calamari fritti” (4.300 BHD) which were served with chili and I must say that I liked those quite a lot as there were whole fried calamari and not just tiny pieces of ‘some fried stuff’.
The “burrata cremosa” (6.500 BHD) which was our second dish to share as a starter was quite lovely too. Not sure if I’d really call it burrata but it was surprisingly tasty with the crispiness of the crust combined with the tomato sauce.
What I absolutely liked was the “Quinoa e Avocado” (5.600 BHD) salad which I had as a main course. It had all good elements of a meal – fresh, crispy, creamy. Truly a great dish!
The place is nice in terms of atmosphere as it really has something of an Italian restaurant on the one hand side but it is more spacious than a typical Italian restaurant so you have some privacy too. Additionally, the waiter was generally friendly and swift – only when I placed my order to ask for a second bottle of sparkling water it took him quite a while. All in all, I was quite positively surprised about the Fatto – definitely an Italian I can recommend you to visit.
