Good members only club with a view: Capital Club Bahrain (4. December 2017)

| April 18, 2018 | 0 Comments

The Bahrain Capital Club is a members only club in the Bahrain Financial Harbour and is definitely offering a great view onto the sea. The “bread & butter” selection is nice as the breads are rich and there is quite a variety to them.

The “amuse bouche” served was rather simple and not really that great.

The “tuna tataki (seared Ahi tuna slices with miso flavoured pumpkin puree & coconut lime flavored vegetables)” (6.00 BHD) on the other hand was a nice combination of textures and flavours.

And the “black angus beef short rib and fillet duo (dark chocolate & chili jus with grilled mushrooms & potato fondant)” (13.500 BHD) is absolutely worth trying, especially due to the fact that the meat is very tender and basically dissembles in your mouth – exactly the way it is supposed to be.

The “rocket leaves salad with dates, pomegranate and apple” (2.000 BHD) which I had as a side dish was refreshing. Adding dates, pomegranate and apple to a salad is a great combination. While I’ve had pomegranate and apple in salads, I had never tried dates but I must admit that it was great. The friandises on the other hand were rather standard.

The service is trying hard to deliver a good experience but personally speaking, I think they do not entirely manage to do so as the water glasses are staying empty for too long – especially if you drink a lot of water like I do. Overall, if you have the chance to dine at the Bahrain Capital Club, I can definitely recommend you to take advantage of this opportunity but it isn’t outstanding but it is generally decent.
