30. October 2010: Bar La Cresta
The Bar La Cresta is located in the part of Cortemilia before the city centre when you come from Acqui Terme and after the centre if you come from Alba.
The way to the bar is pretty nice as it is located in one of these arcades you can find in Cortemilia. When you’ve entered the bar, the picture changes. It is – let’s say – acceptable to go in there. Somehow you get the feeling though that it’s something like a semi-legal (at most) gaming place. In one room there is a bunch of people playing poker, upstairs there are a few rooms which can only be locked from the inside with modern gaming computers and there is one room with table soccer, pool, and dart.
The owners are friendly and very helpful (we wanted to play billard at first, but they only had pool and one of the guys took his time to explain us how to play pool – it’s pretty fun). Also, the drinks are brought very quickly and cost close to nothing (EUR 2.00 for a 3.33 dl beer or a very good filled glass of Martini).
If you’re looking to get cheap booze and want to make time go by, the La Cresta bar is a great place to go as the drinks are cheap, the service is friendly and there are various ways of entertaining yourself with games. The atmosphere is pretty special though and the ‘audience’ too.
