Amazing New Year’s lunch: Restaurant Sea Fu @ Four Seasons Jumeirah (1. January 2018)

| May 21, 2018 | 0 Comments

What a way to start the new year – a “Tokyo Mule (Ketel One, Martini Rosato, lemon juice, ginger, tumeric, ginger ale)” (65 AED) is definitely a great choice and in the Sea Fu even more so as you are located right next to the beach and you get to enjoy the Dubai sun!

The service is friendly, attentive and swift and my “salty edamame” (30 AED) were served in no time.

The “spinach and kale salad with sesame dressing” (45 AED) was not exactly what I had in mind but it was actually great – very green in looks and taste.

The “roasted salmon (miso, yuzu sabayon, baby spinach leaves, bonito crumble, beetroot)” (165 AED) was good in terms of taste but a bit small and a bit too dry for my personal gusto.

But if you combined it with the “sambal green beans” (35 AED) you would have a nice combination of a tasty salmon with the juicy salad.

What I won’t get used to is the prices for alcohol in Dubai – a bottle of “Castello Banfi, Chianti Classico Riserva, 2015” accounted for 450 AED. Which is basically more than the whole dish. At least the wine was tasty! The place is lovely, the service competent and friendly and the food is good – it’s a bit on the pricier side but then again it’s in the Four Seasons, so no surprise there!
