A lovely place to relax in the afternoon: Epona Lounge @ Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club (1. January 2018)
It is always good when you’re shown around by a local – as else I’m pretty sure I would have never ended up at the Dubai Polo Equestrian Club. The Epona Lounge is nice but has – due to the horses – a bit too many flies for my gusto. However, the “Coco Rosemary (coconut water, rosemary, honey, ginger)” (31 AED) is worth trying as it is refreshing and light.
The “Thai Papaya (carrot, papaya, cucumber, tomato, coriander, spring onion, nuts, dressing)” (73 AED) was fine although the prawns were a bit too dry for my gusto and the portion was definitely way too huge for a salad. The service is friendly, attentive and makes sure you feel comfortable.
If you are a regular like my friend, then you can definitely count on exquisite services as they know you by name and make sure you have everything! What I liked about their menu was the following statement:
The Dubai Polo Equestrian Club is one of these places where you feel a certain exclusivity despite of the fact that the club is open to everyone. Which makes it a nice combination between ‘special’ and ‘accessible’. So, if you are mobile in Dubai and feel like going somewhere else for a change, I can recommend you the Dubai Polo Equestrian Club!
