Outstanding brunch in a unique setting: The St. Regis Polo Brunch @ The St. Regis Dubai, Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club (19. January 2018)

| June 14, 2018 | 0 Comments

Friday brunches are a big thing in the Middle East and Dubai isn’t any short in that regard. Upon checking in, I was invited by the Front Office Manager to enjoy their brunch. Quite a generous offer in the first place as the brunch with the regular alcohol accounts for 425 AED which is quite substantial. The selection you can find here is quite marvelous ranging from a variety of sweets when you enter …

… to a selection of your favourite cheeses …

… even an ice cream station …

… as well as the mandatory chocolate fountain with all kinds of sweets to dip in.

A small selection of fried delicacies …

… fresh juices …

… and some warm regular breakfast dishes.

If you have a sweet tooth, you won’t be disappointed either as you get quite a selection of candies …

… and even popcorn for those who like.

While the variety offered isn’t the biggest I’ve seen so far, the quality of the dishes is truly great …

… and everything is presented in an appealing and lovely way …

… giving it a lot of space which makes you really feel like you’re in a St. Regis and not just ‘some other hotel’.

Now, the whole thing is located in an incredibly lovely atmosphere. You get to sit outside in the garden and watch the polo match which takes place every Friday.

The staff is very attentive and incredibly friendly. Whenever I was walking in a not very practical fashion to the buffet due to my foot injury, they were incredibly helpful and supportive, making sure I had absolutely no hassle to get to the table and enjoy my food.

While the booze selection is generous, the wines are not the top notch wines really. There is something decent available in terms of red and white but there is some room for improvement.

But the brunch really leaves no wishes open. The only thing which was a bit surprising to me – it starts at 1pm and ends at 4pm which is fine but that they ask for the last round of alcohol already at 3pm seems a bit too early if you want to enjoy it in full.

All in all, I can definitely recommend The St. Regis Polo Brunch as it offers a decent variety of dishes in high quality and all of that in a very peaceful and lovely atmosphere. Just the way things should be. Make sure to book a table in advance and ideally one directly by the garden so you have a first hand view onto the Polo match.
