Traditional little restaurant with good lunch deals: Restaurant Brasserie Seefeld (24. January 2018)
While I have paid a visit to a variety of restaurants in the Seefeld, the Brasserie Seefeld wasn’t among them so far. They have quite a decent lunch offer – also in terms of price. I didn’t go for the set menu but still got the daily soup served, a “crema sedano” which was rich and thick and not thinned out with cream. Surprisingly delicious in it simplicity.
The “fegato di vitello alla Veneziana, polenta” (CHF 44.00) was okay. Although some of the liver pieces were a bit stringy which didn’t make it entirely pleasant but all in all, the sauce in which the liver was prepared was rich and satisfying to the palate.
The place it somewhat simple in its interior design and frankly, from the outside not really a place I would walk in. But, once you’ve entered, you’re welcomed by a nice place which seems to be full of tradition, making it a truly lovely location. Prices are incredibly fair, especially for Zurich, which is also true for the beverages with CHF 6.30 for 0,5l of San Pellegrino or CHF 5.60 for a double espresso.
The service is friendly and attentive and even when you ask for the bill, it is delivered right away. That’s how I imagine a swift and productive lunch to be.
