When the flagship product is just somewhat disappointing: Restaurant Shake Shack (3. February 2018)
It is quite some time ago since I’ve been to Shake Shack – especially since my last visit didn’t really persuade me. However, given there is just a limited number of options in the mall, I figured I should give it a second try. Frankly, the choice was a bit better this time but it is still far from good. The “Single SmokeShack (cheeseburger with veal bacon, spicy chopped cherry peppers and ShackSauce)” (3.750 BHD) served with “Cheese Fries” (2.250 BHD) is rather heavy. The burger isn’t bad but the cheese over the fries is just so damn artificial it really doesn’t make it a pleasant meal.
The “Large Original Lemonade” (1.500 BHD) is similarly artificial. So, in a nutshell, the dishes are nothing to dream about, rather they are that heavy that you have difficulties falling asleep. The overall experience is just somehow disappointing. The dishes are really heavy and not that pleasant, the place itself isn’t appealing and last but not least, the prices are also on the heavier side for what you get. In short, there is better to try.
