Not worth trying: Restaurant Selections @ InterContinental Regency Bahrain (12. February 2018)
After having had lunch in the same place over and over and over again, we decided to try something new and went for the Selections in the InterContinental. Well, that was not really a good idea. The buffet selection looks good at first ranging from cheeses …
… to salads …
… to vegetables …
… typical Arabian delicacies …
… more of those …
… as well as sushi …
… and some hot dishes …
… as well as fresh fruit …
… and a variety of other desserts …
… and even a roast. Now, you might wonder why I said it “looked” good but it wasn’t really. The issue is the selection on the one hand side (less than in Rotana) and on the other hand side the quality of the dishes. It is not bad, get me right. You can absolutely eat here. But you get more in terms of selection and better quality for half the price at Rotana. So, I would personally not recommend you to go there.
On top of that, the service is really not up to its task. I ordered sparkling water in the very beginning. And as until after starters nothing had been served, I decided to get it myself. And only then they started paying attention. Well, not the way you would service want to be. So, in a nutshell: No thanks!
