Great view with tasty dishes: Restaurant Namu @ W Hotel (21. February 2018)

| July 15, 2018 | 0 Comments

There are not too many options in the W in Dubai but the Namu is a great way to enjoy your dinner. I started with a “Baekjool – Indomitable Spirit (soju, pomegranate syrup, cucumber bitters)” (65 AED) mainly because it is something I haven’t tried before. And it was a bit too much of a boozy taste for my gusto but else good.

The “Guro Edamame (teppan seared, spicy sauce)” (30 AED) was reeeeally spicy! I like spice, I like hot, but damn, that was kind of too much. It was probably the first time in the past 4 months that I haven’t been able to finish my edamame.

As a starter, I tried the “Torok Yuk Hoe (tuna belly tartar, sesame sour cream, myoga, korean pear)” (95 AED) which was refreshing – especially in combination with the pears! Loved it! Not sure what was the benefit of these kind of seaweed crackers as they didn’t really add anything to the experience.

The “La Galbi (korean pear marinated black angus short ribs, pine nut, garlic puree)” (150 AED) was good too – however, it was too garlicy for me and the meat was a bit too fatty. But in terms of flavor, it was an absolutely great dish!

The view from the 30th floor of the W is quite lovely despite the fact that you are not really having something spectacular in front of your eyes. The service is very dedicated and friendly desperately trying to make you have a good time – and they succeed. In terms of pricing, the W has a great offer of deducting 25% off the bill when you are a guest. Pays off big time! In any case, even if you are not staying at the W, it is worth paying the Namu a visit!
