Swift service and fair lunch offering in terms of price: Restaurant MASI Wine Bar (27. March 2018)
The MASI Wine Bar is one of these places in Zurich where you get a good meal for lunch for a relatively decent price. The menu today consisted of a “vegetable soup” which was okay as it wasn’t too watery but nothing spectacular in terms of taste.
The main course on the other hand, the “Scaloppine al Marsala con Tagliatelle” (CHF 32.00) was rich. The meat was tender, didn’t have any tendons. The sauce was rich but the pasta was a tiny bit overcooked. Would have loved to get it done al dente instead of ‘too much’, but given the portion was relatively ‘limited’, it didn’t matter much anyway.
The place is nice in terms of decor and the waiter was super swift and had brought us the water (San Pellegrino, 0,5l, CHF 5.50) within no time. Even before taking our actual order. Right about the way it should be. And even the “double espresso” (CHF 6.50) is reasonable in price. Just make sure to book a table in advance as it gets really crowded during lunch time.
