One of the reasons why you would want to visit Paris: Wine Bar L’Ivress Sentier (4. May 2018)

| October 5, 2018 | 0 Comments

It is more than 7 years ago since I have been to Paris and somehow I have never been able to get to like the city properly. This evening though managed to turn it around a bit. The “large apéro plate” with a variety of cheeses, paté, tomatoes, cornichons, cold cuts, butter and honey …

… served with two spreads and tomato and regular bread chips, really made for a perfect meal together with a glass or two of white wine. The food was delicious. And I’m not just saying that because I was incredibly hungry but because the food was actually delicious.

Even the dessert plate was amazing – a nice assortment of different sweets, so everyone would fine something. Really just quite lovely!

When it was about time to pay and go home, the waiter did not appreciate the idea and invited us for a shot. I must admit, in hindsight, to take an ‘Absinthe’ was probably not the smartest one I’ve had in my life. However, it was a fun evening in a little wine bar with a nice wine selection where you can first try all the wines by the glass before you pick one for good. It did change my view about Paris and Parisians a bit.
