Nice atmosphere with decent drinks: George Bar & Grill (19. May 2018)
The George Bar & Grill has always been a place to enjoy a good drink in a nice atmosphere. When we walked in, it was still relatively empty and there were a couple of bar tables available. The waiter came up and asked what we wanted to drink. After dropping a few pointers what kind of drinks I liked, he basically pointed me to the menu and pointed at selected drinks. Admittedly, the “”Basil George (Hendrick’s Gin, fresh basil, lime juice, lillet, Mandarin Napoleon, Ginger Beer)” (CHF 18.00) was refreshing and tasty but it is not something I would have needed the advice of a waiter for.
The atmosphere in the George Bar & Grill is nice as it is hip, friendly, and you just generally feel comfortable here. The waiters are relatively swift but there is room for improvement when it comes to the qualification. And while the drinks are good, the prices are also rather in the upper area of things.
