Lovely place, weird service: Café Carolaschlösschen (2. June 2018)

If you stroll through the “Grosser Garten” (great garden), you eventually end up at one of the lakes. At one of them, there is a little castle with a garden where you can stop for a drink which I decided to do. I went for the “home-made lemonade (raspberry basil)” (EUR 5.50) as well as the “black currant” (EUR 5.50). While the drinks were good once they arrived (which they did rather swiftly), the whole process was a bit confusing as you were only able to order with one guy – who was also kind of creepy (although really doing his best, I suppose).

And the same was true for ordering the bill, someone bringing the drinks, someone taking them. All was very organized, very automated – both good things, however, somehow a bit over-engineered for a garden restaurant. But, worth to rest if you manage to get a seat with view onto the water (where it is quite entertaining watching the people in their rowing boats).
