Lovely view over Dresden and the chance to ride a lorry: Restaurant Luisenhof (3. June 2018)

| November 5, 2018 | 0 Comments

In the area of “Weisser Hirsch” (which means ‘white deer’) there are a lot of nice old houses of the nobles. And the area is incredibly lovely and yet quiet, perfect to stroll a bit through the neighbourhood after you’ve taken the little trolley (ride of about 3 minutes) to reach the top. Once you’ve done your circle, you end up at the trolley station again and right next to it, there is the hotel Luisenhof which has a little terrace to the back where you have a marvelous view over Dresden.

Besides the lovely view, it is also worth visiting ‘The Balcony of Dresden’ for the rest of it: The service is swift, friendly, attentive and once you’ve placed your order, drinks come within a few minutes. I went for the “asparagus bread salad with avocado and cherry tomatoes” (EUR 14.50) which was generally okay and held what it had promised. However, the bread was somewhat soaked while the rest of the salad was lacking sauce somehow.

My “Luisenhof lemonade (refreshing lemonade made from raspberry, lime and mint)” (EUR 3.90) was fine but you had to ‘treat’ the raspberries for a bit until they ‘dissolved’ and actually emitted taste. Was perfect to ‘re-stock’ with some sparkling water though.

All in all, if you decided to pay the area “Weisser Hirsch” a visit you have to enjoy the ‘Balcony of Dresden’.
