Super swift service and decent food for a good price: Restaurant Farnsburg (26. July 2018)
The Farnsburg has kind of turned into my favourite restaurant in Liestal. And that is mainly for one reason: Quick service over lunch, decent dishes, and ultimately more than fair pricing. You get a “menu salad” …
… and the pizza you want (here: “Pizza Volcano whit extra anchovies”) for a mere CHF 19.50. And frankly, where else can you get that? Especially, as you quite often get a dessert and a double espresso included in that price. So, think about it, salad, main, dessert and a coffee for CHF 19.50? Amazing!
Besides that, if you let the service know you are kind of in a hurry, they speed up incredibly and you get the three courses including the coffee and paying the bill within approximately 40 minutes. Quite good I’d say!
While you don’t necessarily have to book a table in advance as you usually find a table, it is most often quite crowded in there and not entirely easy to get a table in the shadow. So, if you prefer not to sweat your ass off in summer, booking in advance is highly recommended!
