Entrecôte Café de Paris – delicious as always: Restaurant La Côte (26. July 2018)
I keep coming back to this place for a good 15 years. And they still serve the same weird starter of “eggplant in vinegar”. It isn’t bad but it isn’t good really either. However, it’s just part of dining in La Côte!
Why you come here is ultimately not the eggplant but the “Entrecôte Café de Paris” (CHF 44.00) with “Pommes Alumettes” (CHF 6.00). The meat is good and the sauce is truly delicious. I mean, it is just liquid butter but it is also liquid gold as it is so damn tasty that you don’t want to stop eating it.
The view is nothing spectacular but they make the best out of their location …
… and they make sure you have an authentic experience by providing you a hand-written bill. Something you don’t find often anymore these days.
The waiter is still the same as it has always been. A bit grumpy, still friendly, very job-oriented. So, all in all, the La Côte remains an experience you should definitely try if you like Entrecôte Café de Paris. To me, it isn’t as amazing as it was a couple of years back but it is still worth visiting!
