Picturesque garden with a serious wasp problem: Restaurant Heinrich’s Schlossheuriger (11. August 2018)
There is not much around Schloss Charlottenburg but the Heinrich’s Schlossheuriger is one of the places which you find there and it is quite lovely. The “chanterelle cream soup” (EUR 5.50) was fine, had nice chunks of mushroom in it and was just generally tasty.
The “black pudding with apple and onion confit, cream sauerkraut, hash brown potatoes” (EUR 10.50) was even better. I really liked the black pudding as it had a great taste but on the other side it also wasn’t too dry or too juicy.
The waitress was doing her job but I can’t say that there was much excitement to be found in her face when she was conducting what she had to. The garden though, where you can sit outside is absolutely picturesque – if it wasn’t for the wasps. There were so many wasps all over your food all the time. Really annoying! So, if you intend to pay the Heinrich’s Schlossheuriger a visit in summer, you might want to consider to sit inside.
