Amazing drink experience with nice view onto the city: King Cole Bar @ The St. Regis Mexico City (25. August 2018)
About 16 months ago I was in the King Cole Bar in The St. Regis Mexico City and wasn’t entirely satisfied with my drink experience back then. After I had published the review, Paulina, the Director of Marketing and Public Relations reached out to me in July 2017, asking me to give the place another try. Given I was back in Mexico City, I decided to do so. I was welcomed dearly and very friendly by the general manager, the staff, and the bartender and offered some of their drinks from their Mixology menu.
I went for the “Bacante (Ciroc Vodka, lemongrass syrup, lemon juice, St. Germain)” (230 MXN) first which was lovely – refreshing, light, perfect to drink the day away.
Secondly, I had to go for the St. Regis signature drink, a Bloody Mary. And obviously, the local version of it, the “Sangríta Maria (Premium Mezcal, Chile Pasilla, Black Pepper, Salt, Sauce Mix, Lemon Juice, Tomato Juice, lemon wedge, worm salt)” (260 MXN). The drink was great – just for my personal gusto, the chili wouldn’t have been necessary. However, it belongs to Mexico, so that’s still fine (and it fit with the drink).
They were making sure I had a perfect moment. Nothing was left to chance, all was planned, the staff was incredibly caring and attentive! Just like a perfect bar experience is supposed to be!
Last but not least, I have to mention, that they were so kind to invite me for the drinks (which was highly appreciated). In any case, if you are in Mexico City and you are looking for a nice bar with delicious drinks and exquisite service, the King Cole Bar on the 3rd floor of The St. Regis Mexico City is the perfect place to go!
