Rock solid dinner experience: Restaurant Schiller (9. October 2018)
Somehow I only have good memories about my stays in the restaurant Schiller. And that was reconfirmed this time again. I went for the “tartare de filet de boeuf (beef from Schrofenhof with quail egg and butter toast)” (CHF 39.00) which was tasty in terms of flavour and quality. However, I had asked for a spicy version and it wasn’t spicy at all. The quail egg wasn’t really necessary but the pickled shallots were fitting very well with the dish.
The “leaf salad”which was served with the tartare was good and the salad sauce was generously applied so the salad would be sufficiently soaked.
The service was friendly and relatively swift in picking up the order and serving the food – only when it came to bring the bill, it took them a bit longer than expected. The place wasn’t fully booked out but it is nevertheless recommended to book a table in advance (given I was on a Monday night, I assume that usually it would be more booked out). The atmosphere is nice and welcoming – so overall quite lovely.
