Good lunch bargain but somewhat slow service: Restaurant *hirschchen (16. October 2018)

| March 14, 2019 | 0 Comments

When you sit outside in the sun in the *hirschchen, you will be able to see how the service is friendly and jovial but slow at the same time. We sat down and I asked quite rapidly for the order to be taken up – and was basically told that it is like in Spain when people would ask for placing the order right away. Well, yeah, maybe so, but at least it gets the job done. When looking at other tables close to us, they had to wait for ages until they finally received anything.

I went for the “Pulled Pork Burger served in a brioche bun with tomato, cucumber, BBQ sauce, cabbage salad with cream and French fries” (EUR 9.20) which was a great bargain. The fries were relatively average. The pulled pork burger was great though. The pulled pork was delicious – smooth, rich, intense.

All in all, if you have enough time, the *hirschchen is a nice place for lunch as you get decent food for a very good price in a nice atmosphere. Just don’t expect super friendly service.
