Nice atmosphere with sufficient privacy: Restaurant DOX @ Hyatt Regency Düsseldorf (29. October 2018)
Somehow I haven’t managed so far to pay a visit to the restaurant in the Hyatt but finally it was time to do that. The “hand-cut beef tatar with herb salat, créme fraîche and traditional bread)” (EUR 19.00) was good as the beef was tasty, the cut was rather junky and the combination with the little herb salad and the bread was overall lovely. That there was just one slice of bread was a bit disappointing though.
The “stuffed gnocchi with butter squash, fig and blue cheese)” (EUR 24.00) was rich but almost too many flavours at once. The blue cheese was intense while the fig provided some sweetness to the dish. Still, all in all a solid dish.
The place itself is nice and atmospheric and if you are in the back part of the restaurant, you get to enjoy the quietness of it. The service is generally attentive and friendly and makes sure that what you order (e.g. 0,75l San Pellegrino, EUR 11.00) arrives within no time.
