Delicious sashimi but existing language barriers: Restaurant Zipang (15. November 2018)

| May 2, 2019 | 0 Comments

The Restaurant Zipang is recommended by the Guide Michelin and worth a visit – it is a small little place so I’d make sure to book a table in advance. It is rather quiet and the privacy factor is not that huge. However, the place itself is generally nice. As a starter they serve “beans with crab” which was a nice to get your palate started.

The “Sashimi” (EUR 28.00) which I took as a main course was good – the selection has a nice variety and the fish is overall quite delicious. Especially the tuna was great.

The service is friendly but in terms of language is kind of a challenge – German doesn’t seem to be working that well and neither English. However, somehow ordering worked in the very end and we got what we wanted. Overall, the Zipang is a lovely place with good sashimi and friendly service.
