A truly Swiss experience in the middle of nowhere: Restaurant Stauffacher (17. November 2018)

| May 2, 2019 | 0 Comments

If you want to experience something truly local and truly Swiss, you should pay a visit to the Restaurant Stauffacher in Brunnen. The place was absolutely crowded that Saturday night and had basically two events taking place at the same time which made it incredibly loud. I went for the “cheese fondue” (CHF 24.50 per person) which was kindly served with obviously bread but also pickled cucumbers and onions upon request.

The fondue was light but good overall and went well with the relatively easily drinkable “Ripasso” (5dl, CHF 31.50). The price for a bottle of water is rather heavy with CHF 9.50 but all in all, you get a decent dish for a relatively reasonable price.
