Absolutely amazing do it yourself tatar: Restaurant Robert’s Bistro (19. November 2018)

| May 2, 2019 | 0 Comments

It is a couple of weeks back since I’ve been to the Restaurant Robert’s Bistro and I was of the opinion that it was about time to pay it another visit. Again, the place was absolutely crowded (and keep in mind, it was a Monday evening) but they still somehow managed to provide us with a table within a few minutes. This time I decided to have the “French sardines (115gr) from the tin can with black rye bread and butter” (EUR 14.50) as a starter. Frankly, they were absolutely delicious but I was not quite sure what was ‘special’ about them. Anyways, worth ordering and enjoying!

As a main course, I went for the “unprepared beef tartare” (EUR 20.50) which is basically the minced meat plus an egg yolk …

… and a whole bunch of other things you can mix into your beef tatar. So basically, it is a “do it yourself” tatar – meaning, you can’t blame the service if it isn’t to your taste. Luckily, I somehow managed to prepare it in a very pleasant way which made the whole experience somehow even more enjoyable to me.

The service is swift, friendly, hands-on and making sure you feel comfortable. All in all, I can absolutely recommend the Robert’s Bistro. Great atmosphere, lovely service, and delicious dishes with quite fair prices. A pity you can’t book a table in advance.
