Still a solid lunch offering: Restaurant *hirschchen (20. November 2018)
The *hirschchen is always a solid option for a quick lunch. Today I went for the “pumpkin cream soup with pumpkin seed oil and pumpkin seeds” (EUR 4.90). The soup lacked a bit of salt but was otherwise tasty and quite a portion for a starter but not as extremely big as German starters often are.
One of the daily menu options were “green noodles with cream sauce, ham stripes and peas” (EUR 7.90). The noodles were – surprisingly I must admit – cooked perfectly al dente and the combination of the cream sauce with the ham and the peas was very enjoyable.
The place is nice, functional, and the service is generally friendly and swift. They had only forgotten to bring my 0,4l “home-made ice tea” (EUR 2.00) at first and only realized after they had already served the table besides ours which had arrived after. But with the apologies and the general friendliness, all was swiftly forgiven. So all in all, the *hirschchen remains a valid option for a quick business lunch.
